These schools were approached with the Game Plan AKL opportunity because they have the highest Equity Index Numbers in Auckland.

Our Criteria
Game Plan AKL is working with the principals of these schools/kura to identify young people who best meet Game Plan AKL’s criteria.
Specifically, we’re supporting young people who:
are at risk of withdrawing or non-participation in sport or recreation activities due to family financial barriers or hardship
demonstrate engagement in sport and recreation (either school, club or community based) throughout primary and intermediate education
recognise the wide-ranging benefits (and/or value) of participating in sport and recreation
have personal qualities, behaviours and dispositions that would likely see them continue to participate positively in sport and recreation
positively contribute to their school or local community
have support from their family to be encouraged by this initiative.
